Pectoral Cross

The Cross was designed and made by Antonio Vedele from Genoa
(13/05/1930 – 04/10/1997).

In June 2013, L.A.L. Srl established an exclusive rights agreement with Eredi Vedele (Vedele’s Heirs) for the manufacturing and sale of the Pectoral Cross of the “Good Shepherd”.
The Pectoral Cross is made of silver and weighs 80 grams; it represents the good Shepherd that leads the flock of sheep to the fold while carrying the lost sheep on his shoulders..

« If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. (…)» (Matthew 18:12-14)

Its style is simple and linear, and wants to be a symbol of a new ecclesiastical era: a poor Church among poor people, as Pope Francis says.
